Veck walked down the steps from the boy's dormitires and into the Common Room. He wore a simple tight black t-shirt and he had on a pair of ripped stonewash jeans. His blonde hair was messy and he looked tired. The boy was eating a sucker as he flopped down on the velvet loveseat near the fireplace. He draped his free hand off the side of the couch and looked around bored. He was always bored but today he was even more bored then normal. It was the first day of the term and he couldn't wait fot the opening feast to begin in a few hours. About an hour or so later Veck was laying upside down sprawled out on the loverseat, fending off annoying first year girls that thought he was cute. "Gah! Go away ok!",he said finally snapping as he sat up and jumped off the side of the armchair. "I'm way to old for you guys go mess with someone your own age!",and with that he ran up to his dorm and grabbed his black jacket and then raceddown stairs to go outside. He needed fresh air away from these evil little imps. Even though he could still remember being that young, as it was only a few years ago, they still bugged him to no end. He just couldnt explain it. He stopped halfway down the steps when he rememberd he had left his candy. "Aw man!",he groaned and sat down on the steps wearily. Caddell wanders into the common room and watches several girls crowd around an older student. He shook his head, the boy obviously did not want their company. He never did understand girls. Grinning at the fact that he probably would never have to, he skirted the group and headed towards the window seat. Girls did not talk to him. They always found him strange. Then again most of the time he pretended not to speak English, although he doubted that would work here.
He shrugged, straightened his uniform and settled himself into the window seat. He glanced up as the boy yelled at the group. He hoped they did not take him seriously, he was their age. Of course few girls liked spiders. Grinning, Caddell pulled a couple of taranchula's from his pocket and set one on the window seat and one on his shoulder. He spoke to them in Welsh, then pulled out a small stationary pad and quill from his pocket.
He looked up as the boy disappeared and cringed as one of the girls picked up the sucker and popped it into her mouth. Not that he necessarily liked candy, but he certainly would not take one that someone else had been eating.
As the common room cleared out he wondered if the boy would return. He wouldn't mind conversation with someone, but for the time being he contented himself with starting a letter to his mother.
